Have you ever seen our windows? These, I mean:
Pretty nice. But, as nice as they are, they're not meant to last forever. Last year, in super-secret, we commissioned BRAND-NEW window art for all 9 windows and two unused doors. One artist, one gigantic image. It took a little while, but we've got some amazing artwork to put in the windows. What we don't have is the money to get them printed up and adhered. Right after the finished artwork came in last year, we opened the Rogues Gallery, and every single penny's been spoken for since. This finished artwork, though, it's burning a hole in our pockets. We REALLY want folks to see it. But it'll run $3500 to get everything done. That's where you come in.
We are running a raffle. Only 700 tickets are available, at $5 each, which is the $3500 we need to get the windows finished. We aren't looking to make a killing on this, just enough to get the windows up. There are only two prizes. Second prize? $1000 of store credit, usable $25 a week for 40 weeks. First prize? $2500 of store credit, usable $25 a week for 100 weeks. That's $3500 worth of free comics, people.
The raffle is running right now as you read this. Once again, only 700 tickets are available. Here're some bullet-point rules and notes, so there's no confusion:
-Raffle runs until the 700th ticket is sold. If that takes two days, the raffle runs two days. If that takes two months, the raffle runs two months. Etc. Once the 700th ticket is sold, we will pull two winning tickets within 24 hours and announce the winners.
-There is no limit on the number of tickets each person can buy.
-One person buying multiple tickets can conceivably win both prizes. In that circumstance, the prize combines into $50 a week for 70 weeks.
-Winner(s) will be contacted via e-mail, and winning ticket numbers will be posted on our website and via Twitter.
-The $25 store credit available to the winner each week does not accumulate, but can be postponed. For example, if you come in the first week of October, spend your $25, and then come in next on the third week of October, you would be eligible for $25 that week, not $50. We are deducting WEEKS (visits to the store that you can claim your credit), not MONEY. Regardless of the frequency of your visits, you will only be eligible for $25 store credit each week.
-Once you start using your credit for the week, you must use all $25 within seven days. It doesn't all have to be in one trip, but it must be used within the week.
-Credit can be used for anything in-store EXCEPT gift cards or consignment items. Current consignment items include Local Artist books, Rogues Gallery artwork and Hello Kitty Heroes & Villains by Tom Kelly.
-Tickets may only be bought in-store via cash, credit or debit.
-Prizes can be gifted, shared, donated, whatever. Once you win, you can do whatever you like with the prize, subject to the rules above.
-In case the raffle runs long, we'll be adding consolation prizes each week the raffle runs. Each week one consolation prize will be added, signed books and in-store merchandise, that sort of thing.
