Okay, that's actually Dal's quote, but I think it's spot-on. If you've ever had any affinity for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, you will LOVE this book. I do NOT have any affinity for He-Man and I loved this book. It's just plain, honest fun. Sure it's a more 'mature' look at a toy property, but Tim Seeley knows exactly WHY you always liked this genre to begin with. He just points it out, is all. I was way more of a Thundercats fan, and there's a little something T-Cat related here too, the Animaliens. Tim's ability to create (and parody) hundreds of characters rivals that of only Erik Larsen and Robert Kirkman. Any creator who builds his own toy line and playset and then films a TV commercial (or, you know, records real songs for a fictitious metal band) is just showing you how much fun he has working in comics. But ultimately, all that is unnecessary. If you want to see how much fun Tim Seeley has working on these comics, all you have to do is read them. It's on every page.
