UPCOMING RELEASES for 03/29/23
Let’s talk Image’s INDIGO CHILDREN. We’ve gotten to read issues #1 - #4 and it’s excellent. Admittedly this book was under our radar, but thanks to fellow retailer Brandon Schatz (Variant Edition, Edmonton) and writer Curt Pires, we read it and loved it. They say Radiant Black meets Department of Truth. We say add Umbrella Academy into that. The full solicitation copy is down below, but this one is really worth a look, and we’ll have a ton of copies available!
Also this week is the long-awaited-by-everyone-at-Challengers single issue of IT’S JEFF! Jeff the Landshark who debuted in Kelly Thompson’s West Coast Avengers run and became a constant Gwenpool companion. This singe issue collects the strips from Marvel Unlimited (drawn by our perennial favorites GuriHiru!!) and features a brand-new adventure! This is Season One of the series, and if this doesn’t hit there may never be a collection of the Series 2 strips! Plus, this is guaranteed to put a smile on even the most jaded of faces!!
Aside from those two A+ comic book releases, there’s AVENGERS BEYOND which is a sequel to the very, very fun ALL-OUT AVENGERS series from last year; Hollywood storyboard artist and long-time comics illustrator Steve Skroce draws AND writes a new THING/HULK mini-series, CLOBBERIN’ TIME; Mark Millar reunites with Frank Quitely for AMBASSADORS #1; and Marvel mines Return of the Jedi for a new JABBA’S PALACE comic!
