As we get deeper into the coronavirus quarantine, it's important to be able to relax. Things are stressful. Comics can maybe help relieve that stress. The thing is, so much of the quarantine was unexpected, folks didn't get to stockpile comics the way they might've wanted. Luckily, Challengers finds themselves with a lot of books and a lot of time to try and get them into the hands of folks who can't go out. Here's how we can help:
1. PICK OUT SOME GRAPHIC NOVELS!
2. DECIDE HOW YOU WANT TO GET THEM!
Over on this post, we detail the options for people to get books from us right now, with businesses closed to the public in Illinois. Basically (although you should still read that post for all the specifics), you can choose to have your books shipped out Priority Mail, at-home delivered on Wednesdays if you live in certain parts of Chicago, or picked up at the Chicago Board Game Cafe (just down the block from our Bucktown location) if you're a local. Tell us how you want to get your books, and we'll work out the appropriate shipping/handling costs.
3. PAY ONLINE!
We'll email you an invoice with all the various costs included, for books, for taxes, for transit. Pay it online, and we'll get to work at packing everything up. We're not at the store all the time, though, so we'll get things out as fast as we're able. Depending on when your order is placed, it may go out the same day, or it may go out the next day. Please be patient with us, we're basically two people trying to do all of this. Also, we didn't design Challengers as a shipping/delivering business, so, uh, sort-of learning on the job here. Oh, and keep in mind that at-home delivery is only on Wednesdays while our stores are closed, and we need to know by 10am on Wednesday. Any at-home delivery requests after 10am on Wednesday will go out the following week.
4. KEEP READING COMICS!
Decompress a little bit with some new comics. When you're all done with those and it's still not time to go outside again, head back up to Step 1 and we'll be here to help!
Take care! Stay safe! See Step 4!
