March 2017 is Women’s History Comics Month at Challengers
In an effort to celebrate Women's History Month, we're inviting any and all Chicago-area women comic creators to come in and set-up at Challengers for a day. Each day of the month of March, 2017. Our goal is to have someone signing every day of the month.
The days are available on a first-come/first-served basis and you can choose your signing time, too. We're open 11am to 7pm Monday thru Friday, and 11am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. You are welcome in any time between those hours, and you also get to decide for how long.
You'll get a 6' table and 1 or 2 chairs. You can bring whatever you want to display and sell. Treat this as a convention appearance; treat it as an in-store signing; treat it as a hang-out--whatever you prefer.
If you're interested, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. briefly telling us what you’ll have at your table and we’ll go from there.
Also, please feel free share this with other creators you think would be interested.
As we've done in years past (based on posts from other retailers like Brian Hibbs from Comix Experience), here's our list of the 100 top-selling comics at Challengers in 2016. This list is based on the number of copies each issue sold, with the higher priced issue being listed first in the case of a tie. I'm sure we'll be discussing this list on an upcoming episode of Contest of Challengers, so keep an eye or ear or whatever open for that in the coming week. Otherwise, look over this list and see if you need to check some of these out in 2017!
