During the Permian-Triassic extinction event some 250 million years ago, an unlikley pair of animals--the amphibian Broomistega and the proto-mammal Thrinaxodon--died together in a burrow. This paleoart comic imagines the story behind the famous "Triassic Cuddle" fossil. This is a 16-page comic (including covers) printed in fluorescent pink, yellow, light teal, and violet Risograph inks on cream paper. Colors are brighter and more luminescent in person compared to the scans you see on your computer screen. Be aware that these comics are HAND MADE and printed with Risograph, meaning that smudges, misregistration, imperfect cuts/folds, and general wonkiness is all part of the charm! Don't buy this comic if you expect perfection!

To get your order locally, you can choose Local Pickup as an option at checkout. After receiving notification that your order is ready, you can drop by Challengers during our current operating hours (Weekends 11-5, Weekdays 11-6, Wednesday 11-7). Your order will be held for you at the front counter. Just let us know the name on the order, as well as that you ordered through Shopify, and you're good to go!

If you'd prefer to have your order left outside for contactless pickup, we're happy to accommodate. When you're outside the store, call us at 773.278.0155. Stay six feet away from our front door. We'll put your books in a basket outside our front door. Once we're back inside, you can grab your books!
